Qilin is part dragon, part horse. These beings had magical powers. They could also look into a person's soul and see if he had a pure heart. If they perceived someone as pure of heart, they would bow down to him.

(I recommend protecting it from falling! Quilin is a great accessory for creating a unique fantasy interior.
